Brevard County Marine Surveyor | East Coast Experience

With decades of boating experience throughout Florida's Atlantic Coast, including offshore fishing, Bahamas crossings, the Intracoastal Waterway, Port Canaveral, and the Indian River Lagoon, I bring practical operating experience in addition to professional marine surveying expertise. 

Marine surveying requires more than technical knowledge—it also benefits from real-world boating experience in the waters where a vessel is operated. Having spent decades boating throughout Florida's Space Coast and East Coast waterways, I bring practical knowledge of local conditions, navigation routes, marinas, and vessel operations to every survey.

My experience includes offshore fishing for yellowfin tuna, mahi-mahi, and other pelagic species along Florida's Atlantic coast, extended runs through the Intracoastal Waterway, crossings to the Bahamas, and countless hours operating vessels throughout Brevard County and the surrounding region.

Whether surveying a fishing vessel, cruising yacht, center console, or family cruiser, I understand how these vessels are actually used in local waters and the demands placed upon them by offshore fishing, long-distance cruising, and coastal operation.

Having kept and maintained vessels at Bluepoints Marina for over 15 years, I am highly familiar with the local boating environment, marina operations, nearby waterways.  I understand many of the logistical considerations involved in vessel ownership, storage, maintenance, and relocation within Brevard County. 

Over the years, I have personally maintained and operated more than six different vessels from Bluepoints Marina, ranging from recreational family boats to offshore-capable fishing vessels. This long-term involvement has provided extensive firsthand experience with the Banana River, Barge Canal, Intracoastal Waterway, Port Canaveral access routes, and surrounding marinas throughout Florida's Space Coast.

With anticipated changes occurring within the marina in the future, I also remain available to assist vessel owners should relocation, transportation coordination, or marina transition assistance become necessary. My familiarity with local marinas, storage facilities, launch ramps, and service providers throughout Brevard County allows me to help owners navigate these transitions as smoothly as possible.

These services are particularly valuable for absentee owners, seasonal residents, and owners whose vessels remain unused for extended periods. 

In addition to marine surveying services, I also provide captain and yacht management services for vessel owners throughout Brevard County and Florida's East Coast.  These services are especially beneficial for absentee owners, seasonal residents, or owners who may not have the time to regularly monitor and maintain their vessels.

Yacht management services can include:

• Battery monitoring and charging
• Fluid level checks
• Running engines and onboard equipment during extended periods of non-use
• Scheduling maintenance and repair services
• Coordination with mechanics, boat yards, and marine contractors
• Cursory vessel cleaning and condition checks

• Marina relocation coordination when necessary
• Vessel delivery and captain services

I also maintain communication with owners by providing periodic photos, videos, and condition updates so they can remain informed about the status of their vessel while away.  My goal is to help owners keep their vessels maintained, operational, and ready for use while reducing the stress that can come with long-distance ownership or infrequent vessel use.
