With over two decades of hands-on experience on the water, I bring a practical and deeply informed perspective to every marine survey. As a SAMS® Surveyor Associate and licensed Professional Engineer (PE), I combine technical expertise with real-world knowledge gained through years of boating, offshore fishing, vessel ownership, and maintenance.
My experience extends well beyond routine recreational boating. I have spent countless hours offshore, including fishing trips up to 140 miles off Florida's east coast, and have completed numerous voyages to the Bahamas. These experiences have provided firsthand knowledge of the demands placed on vessels operating offshore and in remote locations where reliability, seaworthiness, and properly functioning systems are critical.
Boating has also been a family passion. Over the years, I have explored many of the islands of the Bahamas with my family, gaining a deep appreciation for vessel preparation, navigation, safety, and maintenance. Along the way, I have frequently assisted fellow boaters at docks, marinas, and boat ramps, helping troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operational issues when they arise.
In addition to my marine surveying and engineering credentials, I hold a United States Coast Guard OUPV License and am an ABYC Certified Advisor, with extensive familiarity with today's increasingly advanced marine systems and technologies.
Specializing in yachts and small craft, I take pride in delivering thorough, detail-oriented inspections that clients can trust. Every survey is approached with professionalism, integrity, and a personable style that helps make the process clear, informative, and stress-free.
